Chinese Garden of Friendship The Chinese Garden of Friendship was designed in China, and presented to Sydney as a gift for the Australian Bicentennial from Sydney's Chinese sister city of Guangdong. It was designed by landscape artists, and embodies many techniques and principles that date back to the 5th century. It is home to waterfalls, pavillions, lakes, and a Chinese teahouse. The Sydney Aquarium is home to many species of water creatures. They have a platypus tank and seal enclosure, as well as a large saltwater crocodile. The tanks hold many varieties of fish, and there are also octopuses and giant crabs here. At the Open Ocean Oceanarium, guests may touch sea slugs, live coral, or a starfish.
