    Featherdale Wildlife Park

    Featherdale Wildlife Park is home to Australia's largest private collection of native animals. Visitors are permitted to pet the koalas, kangaroos, and some other animals. The animal population here also includes wombats, dingos, wallabies, crocodiles, and Tasmanian Devils. A variety of native birds also are housed here.

    Sydney Aquarium
    The Sydney Aquarium is home to many species of water creatures. They have a platypus tank and seal enclosure, as well as a large saltwater crocodile. The tanks hold many varieties of fish, and there are also octopuses and giant crabs here. At the Open Ocean Oceanarium, guests may touch sea slugs, live coral, or a starfish.

    The Forest Of Tranquillity
    The park opened to the public in 1985 and presents a unique chance to experience and learn about the life and times in an authentic Australian rainforest. The park is home to almost 200 species of rainforest flora and sanctuary to more than 126 species of native birds. Open Wednesday to Sunday plus all public holidays.

    Blue Gum Farm Zoo
    Blue Gum Farm Zoo offers visitors the opportunity to see rural Australia up close and personal. There is a variety of animals here, including farm livestock such as cows, horses, lambs, goats, ducks and turkeys, as well as various indigineous Australian animals, such as emus, wallabies, and kangaroos.     Oceanworld Manly
    Oceanworld Manly provides its visitors with an up-close and intimate look at some of the area's sea animals. There are three levels. The tank on the lower level is home to stingrays and sharks, the middle level showcases exotic fish and coral species, and the top level is where educational lectures and shows featuring the inhabitants are held. There is also a 110 metre acrylic tunnel, where the various varieties of sharks held here can be viewed.

    Chinese Garden of Friendship
    The Chinese Garden of Friendship was designed in China, and presented to Sydney as a gift for the Australian Bicentennial from Sydney's Chinese sister city of Guangdong. It was designed by landscape artists, and embodies many techniques and principles that date back to the 5th century. It is home to waterfalls, pavillions, lakes, and a Chinese teahouse. There are lotus plants, willow trees, and lagoons landscaped into the garden.
