Open to the public since August 1981, the Sydney Tower contains two levels of restaurants, a coffee lounge, an Observation Deck and three plant levels. Three high speed double deck lifts take approximately 40 seconds to travel from top to bottom and 1,504 stairs reach from top to bottom. A ticket to the top includes OzTrekan—an virtual reality ride across Australia—while an upgraded ticket includes a trip to the Skywalk—an exhilarating walk on glass overhangs, 260 m (853 ft) above the harbour city.
