The Rocks + My Favorites
The Rock is an intersting area of Sydney that is located below the Harbour Bridge. It was the original location where the Europeans settled. Today, after restoration in the 1970s, the district features warehouses and several other interesting sights. It is best to obtain a self-guided tour map of the area (from the Sydney Visitors Bureau) for the best experience. Address: . | Sydney, NSW

Circular Quay + My Favorites
Set at the Sydney Cove inlet, Circular Quay is the hub of activity for the Sydney Harbour. It is a great starting place for most of the Harbour's attractions, and ferries shuttle people from the Quay to many areas, including the Taronga Zoo. There are also numerous footpaths here. One leads pedestrians to the Harbour Bridge and The Rocks, and another leads to the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Many shops and restaurants are also located here. Darlinghurst + My Favorites
The district of Darlinghurst extends down Darlinghurst Road from Taylor Square to Oxford Street. This area features a variety of Italian and Mediterranean restaurants, as well as cafes, boutiques and bars. It is well known as the preimier gay and lesbian community in Sydney, and it also hosts the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras every year in February. Address: . | Sydney, NSW
